Privacy & Regulations

How we handle your data and your money — and why the regulated parts stay with our licensed partners, not with PayVibe.

How money moves

PayVibe is not a bank and is not a money transmitter. PayVibe does not hold, store, or move your funds. Any money you add, send, or receive is held and settled by our licensed banking partner. PayVibe simply passes your instruction along and keeps your virtual card in sync.

1. Who we are and what we do

PayVibe is a technology platform. We give you one place to manage a virtual card, financing plans, and sending or receiving money. PayVibe is not a bank, is not a money transmitter, and is not a lender. We connect you to licensed partners who provide those regulated services.

2. We do not hold or move your money

PayVibe never takes possession of, holds, stores, or transmits your funds. When you add, send, or receive money, those funds are held and settled by our licensed banking partner in accounts they maintain for your benefit. PayVibe only passes your instruction to that partner and keeps your virtual card balance in sync. This keeps money movement with a regulated, licensed institution — not with PayVibe.

3. Your banking and lending partners

Independent, regulated banking and lending partners handle identity verification (KYC), any credit decisions, custody of funds, and settlement of transfers under their own agreements and licenses. Their terms and privacy notices govern the regulated parts of your relationship, including how your money is held and moved.

4. Data we collect and why

We collect only what we need to operate the platform: your account details (such as name, email, and phone), your card and plan status, and the transfer instructions you initiate. We keep data collection to a minimum and rely on our banking partners for records like full application and lending history.

5. Sensitive information

We never see or store your SSN or bank login. Identity and credit information you provide during verification goes directly to the regulated partner performing that check. Phone numbers are encrypted at rest and, where required, only a keyed hash is retained for matching.

6. How we share data

We share the information required to carry out an action you request — for example, sending your transfer instruction and the recipient handle to our banking partner so they can settle it. We do not sell your personal information.

7. Regulatory posture

Because PayVibe does not hold or transmit funds and does not make credit decisions, the regulated activities — money transmission, custody, lending, and KYC — sit with our licensed partners. PayVibe operates as the interface and instruction layer between you and those partners.

8. Your choices and contact

You can request access to or deletion of the data we hold about you. Some records may be retained by our banking or lending partners as required by law and their own obligations. Reach us through the Help Center for any privacy request.

A note on this page

This page is maintained by PayVibe to explain how our platform handles data and money. It is not legal advice. The custody and movement of funds, identity verification, and any lending are governed by the agreements and privacy notices of our licensed banking and lending partners.
